Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) announced the news that Mitsubishi no longer produce Sedan Lancer Evolution, the fastest in two years (2013).

As quoted from caradvice.com.au, Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) global product director, Gayu Eusegi said,

“There is still a demand [for the car] … but we must stop,” Mr Eusegi said. “Our influence is now EV technology.”

“Maybe the world can change, and maybe someday we can do a motor race by electric vehicles. Maybe then we can enter the market again,”

Company’s vision to create vehicles with alternative energy for the future. And Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X is considered not fit with this new company policy.

Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X is the Tenth Generation. The first generation Evo was born in 1992. Evo into the next car will be retired. Previously, Mitsubishi decided to stop production of Eclipse, Endeavor and the Galant to the U.S. market.
