“Performance Through Light Weight”
Wiesmann Spyder premiere at 2011 Geneva International Motor Show.
Wiesmann Spyder will be smaller than the Roadster MF4 and have a more extreme appearance. With weight of Less than 1,000 kg (around 2.200 lbs)
As quoted from autoevolution (06/03) from press release stated,
“The Wiesmann Spyder design study is based on the Wiesmann brothers’ early designs, though it also incorporates their many years of experience in sports car construction. It demonstrates the sports car manufacturer’s receptiveness to trends because many Wiesmann fans have approached the company founders in recent years with requests for an extremely purist model,”
Wiesmann Spyder is inspired with Wiesmann MF5 Roadster from 5000 cc V10 which is on display at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2009.
“Basis for this excellent performance is a 420-hp V8 high speed motor which is powered by a 4 liters of engine capacity,”
Paired with 7-speed sequential gearbox with capability for go from 0-100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and top speed around 192 mil/h (nearly 300 km/h).
Released to the market for at least 2012.
