Chevrolet Corvette Z06X Racing Car Concept

On SEMA Auto Show 2010, Chevrolet Corvette presents specially designed to be able to conquer any racetrack. Chevrolet worked with Pratt & Miller, a company that partnered in building the Corvette Racing, Corvette Z06X to design concepts.

“This concept car represents the midpoint between the GT racing car and the Z06 version of our regular production,” said Tadge Juechter, Corvette chief engineer.

This concept car powerplant uses a capacity of 7000 cc berkonfigurasi LS7 V-8 that has undergone an upgrade on the air intake system, high capacity radiator and engine cooling system with racing specifications. Energy produced can be ascertained over 500 hp with six-speed Tremec manual transmission.

Chevrolet uses Brembo brakes made of carbon-based heat-resistant tiles, thus ensuring that the braking point to  minimum. To be able to balance the energy that released by the Corvette while driving at high speed. While the suspension system, were improved with the use of adjustable stabilizer bar, mono ball control arm bushings and coil-over struts with adjustable camber plates. Carbon fiber did not miss to reduce vehicle weight on the front bumper, rear wings, roof panel and pillar panel B.
