Infiniti Sportscar Full-form at 2012 Geneva Motor Show

Infinity is planning to a build new sportscar in order to raise its position in the UK.  This luxury brand is enlisting the help of Lotus to give it enthusiast appeal.

As reported from Auto Express, that the hot two-seater will be presented by the owner of the Nissan firm, which purposes compete with its rival the Audi TT and BMW Z4, at next year’s Geneva Motor Show.

The designer of this car applies an aggressive look into the car in the hope to improve Infiniti’s image. Putting together in below the next-generation G-Series Coupé, the compact newcomer is most likely using a classic front-engined, rear-drive layout to make sure it delivers plenty of enjoyment on the road, and the Norfolk-based sports car maker is being brought in to help tune the chassis.

Pair of Eco-friendly models is also used by the firm. The first is a premium four-seater based on the electric Nissan Leaf, due in 2013, followed in 2015 by a hybrid designed to take on the Lexus CT 200h and Audi A3. The M35h introduces hybrid power to Infiniti’s executive saloon range this September.

The two-seater coupe will use an Infiniti badge, equipped with an Infiniti engine, but benefit from special tuning development from the experts at Lotus as explained above. Because Infiniti already has its G coupes, the new model will be smaller and less pricey than its big brother, but still equipped a sport-minded rear-wheel drive layout with a front-mounted engine.
