The North American division of Ducati has officially announced the premier debut of the first 2012 model to enter production, 1100 EVO that will take place in the USA and Canada on may 27 to 28. The Monster 1100EVO will be launched weekend for Ducati’s flagship Monster.
At the premiere, the customers will have a chance to look closer through the key features of the Monster 1100EVO; including a redesigned tail section, new exhaust routing, a race-derived slipper clutch, revised suspension
The event will be hosted by the participating dealers through the United Stares and Canada, giving the demo rides and introducing the first air-cooled Ducati in achieving the 100hp milestone, supporting the 76lb/ft of torque. The 1100EVO also produces the best power-to-weight ratio in Monster history.
Covered into a svelte 373lb package, The Monster 1100 EVO is equipped with restyled tail section, new exhaust routing, a race-derived slipper clutch, and revised suspension. The Monster will also make the first debut along the new “Ducati Safety Pack” which provides Ducati Traction Control System adjustable on 4 levels and ABS brakes. To meet the interest of rider’s pleasure, the Monster 1100 EVO is also provided with a new seat design and higher handlebars, in which the combination gives the rider comfort to get the further ride and stay on their bike longer.
As quoted from autoevolution, Ducati stated,
“The 1100EVO is the first Ducati to reach 100 air-cooled horsepower, which is backed up by a significant 76lb/ft of torque thanks to the Desmodue Evoluzione engine. Wrapped into a svelte 373lb package, the 1100EVO also boasts the best power-to-weight ratio in Monster history. In the interest of rider comfort, the 1100EVO features a new seat design and higher handlebars- the combination of which gives the rider an excuse to stay on their bike longer and ride farther,”
Two colors schemes are provided; those are red – with a racing-style white stripe along the center of the front mudguard, tank and single-seat cover – and red Trellis frame or black with both stripe and frame in racing-grey. Both Monster colors use sporty looking black wheels with short red pin-strip and can be further personalized from a choice of additional liveries available within the innovative Monster Art program. The Monster 1100 EVO will be offered start from $11,995.
