BMW M1 Concept, Blend the i8 and Vision Connected Drive Concept

Being rumored for years of its insider Scot27 which considered a new M1, Scott claimed that the development is still in the beginning step and just has been created of a few sketches. It’s most probably that the car will adopts styling elements from the i8 and Vision Connected Drive concept although No pictures are realized yet. As well as with the performance engine, but it is said that the car could adopt a carbon fiber chassis and an engine from the next-generation M3 or M5.

Clarified by BMW that actually they have no production plans yet but it will likely be launched after 2015. Related to powerpants and engine placement, the design is not finished as the car appears on paper. Because the car will be the first of its kind of the new generation of BMW, the supercar is called M-One. There is A suggestion for using and exclusivity M badge and not using an existing BMW. It may be sold as an exclusive edition or full production, not decided yet.

The car will share carbon fiber chassis as it already used on other brands such as M once the i3 and i8. The sketch was developed obviously for a different purpose. But actually BMW did not focus on the design angle for the Connected Drive concept car they were taken aback when reaction to the car was very well received. In order to measure reaction, a roof and a higher windscreen have been added, then it return of the concept of a coupe. The car could be most likely based on the next M3 with a bespoke body applied to the chassis and engine of the M3. The idea of lightweight is the use of particularly developed 4 or 3 cylinders.
