Finally, the Fisker Karma has had its European debut at the 2011 Formula One Gran Prix in Monaco last week after went to production. The person in charge, who brought the Fisher Karma into production then made it going into the Gran Prix circuit ahead of the qualifying run there at 28 May, last Saturday. Prince Albert II accompanying by the Fisker co founder and Fisker’s Chief Executive Officer, Hendrik Fisker.
This electric super car has the total power of 300 kW (408 PS / 403 bhp) and 1,300 Nm (959 lb/ft) of torque on tap. Each of the electric motor delivering 150 kw power the rear axle. Its mean both electric motors featuring 300 kW power. A pure electric range of 80 km equal to 50 miles is provided by lithium ion battery pack.
The Fisker Karma is able to reach its top speed at 201 km/h or 125 mph. starts from 0 to 60 mph or 96 km/h, the car run in just 5.9 seconds only if in sport mode. The Karma also features a Stealth mode to limit the use of energy.
The Fisker Karma provides 2.0 liter gasoline which drives a 175 kW electric generator to recharge the batteries while the car is in motion. The drive motors indirectly empowered by the engine of the Karma Fisker around 483 km or 300 miles.
Overall, the Fisker Karma has a good performance to be a true driver’s car. Its completed with advance space frame along with new levels of rigidity and strength which makes the vehicle world class ride and handling characteristics. The 22-inch unique aluminum wheels comes as standard on the standard production car for the first time.
The production of the Fisker Karma is just has been started at Valmet Automotive’s Uusikaupunki facility in Finland with Fisker aiming to achieve full build rate by the second half of 2011.
