New Chevrolet Colorado Double-Cab Rally Concept

After made the debut of the Chevrolet Cobal Concept, the first details of its design study is unveiled, the Colorado Rally Concept. It is an important event for GM which is proven in the Buenos Aires Motorshow. The Colorado as a single cab concept truck is first appeared at the Bangkok International Auto Show at the beginning of this year.

The double cab racing model is the study of the argentine of which the concept matched with numerous off road features and components including the front and rear bumper hooks and tow winches along with an adjustable suspension which enables the driver to improve the ride height by 5 inches. Make the car looks more interesting is mounted with special acrylic windows. The exterior design of the double cab is most similar to that of the production model.

The Colorado Rally Concept actually looks somewhat similar to the GMC Sierra All Terrain HD Concept. A 2.8 liter turbo diesel engine mated to an all wheel drive system empowered the Colorado Rally Concept. The car stands on huge machined aluminum wheels at 18 inch in size mounted into 305/ 60 R18 BFGoodrich Mud Terrain tires. The Colorado Rally Concept has high performance shock absorbers 140mm along with a remote reservoir with fluid. Integrated winch to the bumper, 5.5 hp, with a capacity of 4 tons of traction and reinforced steel cables 23 meters long are equipped on both the front and the rear.

The debut concept of the car in the Hall of Buenos Aires seems to have the same appearance, aggressive and strong lines, as we saw it in Bangkok. The concept mixes the design elements from Chevrolet’s legendary ability in developing vehicles with excellent performance either on or off the road. The executive GM Global Vehicle, Brad Merkel said that the concept presents as the future of the global Chevrolet pickups.

Either the all new Colorado single cab model or double cab model of the production version is planned to have the first debut later this year.
