Here is what Audi (TM) have done for charity, they built special R8 V10 Spyder Convertible with chromed all over the body for the Elton John Aids Foundation (EJAF). And the Chromed R8 Spyder is expected to be released at a highest price.
As quoted from autoevolution,
“Sir Elton John’s fundraising ball really is a golden ticket event that is as glamorous as it is hugely effective in fundraising terms,” commented Jeremy Hicks, Director of Audi UK. “We are delighted, and enormously proud, to support it for a ninth year with the donation of what is arguably our most fittingly glamorous model.”
Auctioned off late last night, at the White Tie and Tiara Ball charity event which as always takes place at the home of Sir Elton John and his partner David Furnish.
The Elton John AIDS Foundation (EJAF) was established in 1993, and is amongst the 10 largest AIDS grant-making organizations in the world. And now is the eighth time Audi (TM) join the event.
Under the hood, R8 Spyder buried 10-cylinder gasoline engine capable of producing power up to 525HP are paired with the manual transmission system. This car is capable of driving above the speed of 194 mph. In a still position until the speed of 62 mph, the convertible only takes 4.1 seconds.
