Ford Performance Vehicle (FPV) is the official tuner of Ford’s Australian division. And their GT’s Concept has received approval for production from Ford (TM) which was revealed last month at the 2011 Australian Motor Show.
FPV General Manager, Rod Barrett said, as quoted from the official press release via worldcarfans,
“We were totally blown away by the positive feedback received from fans and show-goers on our Concept,” FPV General Manager Rod Barrett said.
“We knew we had a winner with the black paintwork and we wanted to action something immediately. The public spoke and we listened and I am just thrilled we have been able to put the GT BLACK into production so quickly.”
FPV GT Concept is based on the existing FPV GT muscle sedan, which itself is based on the Ford Falcon. As plan, FPV will offer a GT Black Special Edition. These limited edition GT BLACK will be featured the Mustang Boss’ 5.0-litre V-8 powerplant that completed by a Eaton supercharger with a maximum power output of 335kW at 5750rpm, combined with maximum torque of 570Nm delivered across a broad 2200-5500 rpm range.. The concept also featured a track-tuned suspension setup, wider tires and updated brake system.
As you can see from the picture the exterior receive matte decals, a rear spoiler, tinted headlights and 19-inch alloy wheels. While the Inside, will be featured with black leather seats, black trim and an individually-numbered badge.
As Plan, quoted from worldcarfans, these FPV GT Concept Production will be limited to 125 units and pricing starts at $74,290 AUD ($76,840 USD / €54,185). He also added,
“With only 125 units available, we urge interested buyers to act quickly, with a number of vehicles already pre-sold.”
