Honda (TM) now plans to launch a facelift version of Honda City in October 2011 in India. The City was the second highest seller in the segment (selling 4092 units).
The Honda City successed to sell very good numbers in July, considering it is available only with a petrol engine. Now Honda plans to launch a facelifted version of the City in October this year.
Honda is currently being intensively producing cars, especially in India which plan will also launch the Jazz facelift this month. Honda Brio in the next month, and as mention previously will be followed the Honda City facelift in October.
No changes will be make for the engine or gearbox, nor will a diesel motor feature in the City anytime soon. As reported from motorbeam.com, Sales of the City have dropped by 43% over the past year after consumers choice shifted to diesel fuel due to the increase in prices of petrol.
Honda City facelift will have little changes, both in interior and exterior. Features available on the Honda City facelift will cover the shortage Honda does not release a diesel version until 2013. Regarding prices, the New Honda City t will not be much different than the previous Honda City.
