Maruti Suzuki India Temporary stop Production Of 4 Models, and Swift not One of Them

Maruti Suzuki India is India’s largest passenger car company, a subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation of Japan. And recently reported they temporary stop prodcution of 4 models, which is Alto, Estilo, WagonR and Ritz.
Why? The reason of the New Delhi based-manufacturers that these four models because the stock is still piling up at dealerships. In addition the company see the slowing demand and rising fuel prices to be one contributing factor.
As quoted from motorbeam, RC Bhargava, Chairman, Maruti Suzuki, said.
“We are adjusting our production with market conditions. There are some models which are not moving fast enough given the sluggish demand. So, we have tweaked the production schedule to keep our inventory at the normal level,”
While other models are still stable and showed an increase in demand is the Swift and DZire. Maruti Suzuki revealed cessation of production of these four models to increase Swift production orders because it has more than 42,000 units.
