Kia Picanto 3-Door Launched in UK, Pricing Announced

This is the first model of 3-doors Kia Picanto since it was first introduced in 2004. First time intoduce with Four trim levels, 1, 1 Air, Halo and Equinox including two new high specification versions.

The “1″ and “1 Air” version are carried over from the 5-door Picanto, and the Halo and Equinox are new to the range. A few difference part from the 14-inch (Halo) & 15-inch alloys (Enquinox), including Picanto 1, 1 Air, and Halo have four speakers and Picanto Equinox has six. Picanto Halo and Picanto Equinox also have USB and AUX ports, an iPod cable and steering wheel-mounted audio controls.

Differences between Picanto three door and five-door is the new front doors, and bumpers, rear panel, and rear glass A-pillar. View larger front grille combined with silver and red trim around the grille. Then, exhaust tip and a lightweight design rim.

The Picanto 3d is offered with two gasoline engine choices, a 1.0-liter three-cylinder unit developing 68bhp and 95Nm of torque, and a 1.25-liter four-cylinder with 84bhp and 121Nm of torque with a Star and Stop System.

More featured also added such as a trip computer, height-adjustable seat, a tilt-adjustable steering column, a RDS radio and CD player with MP3 compatibility, electronic stability control (ESC), anti-lock brakes (ABS), electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), and emergency brake assist system (BAS).

Plan will be on sale 1st September 2011 with range priced from £7,795 OTR.
