This is a new variant of the special series 911, 911 Speedster.

With an open roof model, the latest variant produced only 356 units (to remember the 356 Speedster was first produced in 1953). What is different from the 911 Speedster is the back of the cabin with two bubble (double-bubble), space for roof sheeting (soft top).

Compared with other 911 variants, Speedster lower 60 mm and 44 mm wider at the rear and more sloping windshield.

Equipped with the same engine as 911 GTS, 6-cylinder boxer with a 408PS 3.8 liter and 7-speed automatic transmission MDD (dual clutch).  Claimed fuel consumption of 9.7 km / liter.

In addition there are also some features, such as Active Suspension Management and Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB), a protective technology when the car overturned.

911 Speedster will be sold at a price of $ 204,000 in early 2011.
