The Rhys Millen’s RM500 Genesis Coupe is based on the Hyundai Genesis Coupe and premiere at the 2011 SEMA Las Vegas. Going for production? As quoted from insideline, Miles C. Johnson, a Hyundai Motor America spokesman said,

“All I can say is we’re really excited at how cleanly and easily Rhys got the (V8) engine to fit,” “Anything is possible.”

Johnson emphasized that a production version is “not a ‘go’ project yet.” But he added: “We’re here to gauge reaction and we know that for years enthusiasts have asked us when we’re going to put a V8 in the Genesis Coupe.”

Reported that, whole transformation cost $80,000-$100,000. the SEMA version powered with 5L Tau V8 engine that produce 450 HP (336 kW / 456 PS). Featuring brakes from Brembo and wheels are the 19-inch HRE 793-RS dressed with Hankook Ventus R-S3 tires. Also carbon fiber body kit, including a front spoiler and rear side skirts.
