These official images of 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe Facelift was found at Hyundai’s Facebook page. Hyundai said in the description of its pictures,
“Boasting a powerful V6 engine, the Genesis Coupe adopted the latest evolution of our Fluidic Sculpture design philosophy,”
As plan, The South Korean Automaker will launch the Genesis Coupe in 2013. But first, full form will be revealed at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show in January. As reported, in a presentation on the Genesis Coupe in Korea Speed Festival 2011 in Yeongam, South Korea last weekend, Hyundai released the initial details about this sports car.
Lambda 3.8-liter MPI engine is replaced with Hyundai Lambda 3.8-liter GDI. With the V6 engine plus direct injection technology capable of producing 350 horsepower and power 40.8kg.m torque (295 lb-ft or 400Nm). More so, Hyundai said as quoted from carscoop,
“in order to raise the emotional quality in the Lambda 3.8 GDi model, a sound generator is applied to replace the rough engine sound with a classy and sporty sound.”
Hyundai said the two engines will be offered with eight-speed automatic transmission, which replaces the 5-speed auto and 2.0-liter Turbo 6-speed auto 3.8-liter V6. Both models are also offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
