The Limited Audi R8 GT Spyder, only 333 units!

After producing the R8 Spyder, the automaker which bases in Ingolstadt now has done a follow up by offering a further version of the model to the market, the Audi R8 GT Spyder. The R8 GT Spyder is the most exclusive and powerful version of the Audi R8 Spyder that is hand-built in a limited number. There are only 333 units offered to the market with 50 of which are destined for the U.S. The R8 GT Spyder has arrived in the States with an MSRP of $210,000 (€163,300) with destination and delivery fee or local taxes excluded.

This version will impress the driver with its maximum speed that achieves 197 mph or 317 km/h and it only takes 3.8 seconds for the R8 GT Spyder to boost from 0-60 mph. This achievement is not surprising realizing that the output power from the 5.2-liter V10 gasoline engine with direct injection has been boosted to 560 HP and 540 Nm of torque. The achievement is also caused by a good job done by Audi’s engineers, trimming the weight of the open-top model by 187.39 pounds.

The Audi R8 GT Spyder will start to be available for delivery this month. It will be offered with standard features such as power adjustable exterior mirrors, heated front airbags, side airbags, 8-piston calipers for front disc brakes and 4-piston calipers for the rear in which both are perforated and internally vented, LED headlights and daytime running lights, heated sport seats, and multimedia equipment including Audi navigation system plus and Sirius Satellite Radio. The car will also come with 19” GT wheels with summer performance tires and R tronic 6-speed sequential gearbox with shift-by-wire technology and sports mode, as well as specific standard features ranging from sport suspension system to specific numbered aluminum gear knob. Moreover, coming along with the GT is also optional equipment that includes Audi Carbon Ceramic Brakes, Bang & Olufsen Sound System (12 speakers 495 watt), Windscreen Frame in Fine Nappa Leather inside, Carbon fiber matte door and center console panel, and Titanium Finish 19” 5-arm-double-spoke-design aluminum alloy wheels and Forged Aluminum 19” 5-twin-spoke-Y-design in matte silver look that both are paired to summer performance tires.
