2013 Mercedes-Benz ML63 AMG, the 550HP SUV – Prices start USD95,865

It is a kind of good news for Americans, especially for them who have been after the all-new 2012 Mercedes-Benz ML63 AMG, since Mercedes-Benz has announced the car arrival in March 2012. It will be available in showrooms in U.S. with an initial price of $95,865 – with an $875 destination charge included.

The new SUV will be offered with power provided by a 5.5-liter bi-turbocharged V8 engine in the base model. It is capable of producing 518 HP and 516 lb-ft – offering an increase of 15 HP and 44 lb-ft over its predecessor yet performing lower fuel economy at combined cycle at up to 33 percent. In addition, the automaker also offers an optional AMG Performance Package aimed for them who dream an ML63 AMG with a greater output power. The package enables the car a boosted output at 550 HP with a maximum torque of 560 lb-ft, interestingly with the same fuel economy as the former output as well – according to Mercedes. The engine is combined with the AMG SPEEDSHIFT PLUS 7-speed automatic transmission that works transferring the power to all four wheels. it features three driving modes consisting of ‘Sports’, ‘Manual’ and’ Controlled Efficiency’ – the last offers smoother acceleration and lower fuel consumption.

When being standard, the model can accelerate from zero to 60 mph (96km/h) in just 4.7 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 155 mph (electronically limited). On the other hand, the package-equipped model will boost from zero to 60 mph one second faster at 4.6 seconds with a top speed of 174 mph (280km/h).

The new Mercedes-Benz ML63 AMG will be offered with a host of standard features such as, in the flagship model of ML series, ‘designo premium’ leather AMG power sports seats, power lift gate, power sunroof, a flat sports steering wheel, a Harman-Kardon Logic 7 surround sound system, and a 7-inch display with MerC’s Comand controller.
