Facelifted 2012 Seat Exeo Sedan and ST gets UK Pricing

The refreshed Seat Exeo for 2012 model year, both sedan and wagon, had its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show last year. Like what other models of Seat do, borrowing many parts, platforms and technology from Volkswagen brand, Audi and other stablemates, the facelifted Seat Exeo was built based on Audi A4. After its debut, now the sedan and ST station wagon variants of the Exeo previous generation have been available for order in the United Kingdom. It is offered with pricing starting at £19,480 RRP (recommended price on the road) for the base sedan model

On the styling, the 2012 Exeo is tweaked in some parts including a revised fascia with new b-xenon headlights and LED daytime running lights. This feature comes standard form the Sport models and is offered optionally for the SE variant. In addition, there are also other updates such as new alloy wheel designs, a different steering wheel and revised upholstery options.

The Exeo is powered by a range of engines that include a 2.0-liter turbo diesel that produces 120 PS used in the base sedan model, 2.0-liter TDI diesel that generates 143 PS and 170 PS and a 2.0-liter TFSI turbocharged petrol engine that offers 211 PS. All power units, except the petrol version, come with some tweaks for the 2012 model year aimed for improved fuel efficiency and lower carbon emissions. Additionally, as it was said by Seat, a more frugal and cleaner Ecomotive version would be likely to be present as a part of the Exeo’s range later in 2012. It was said to feature Start-Stop technology and a better CO2 emission figure at less than 120 g/km. When it came to its show debut at Frankfurt, the engines were combined with a new CVT with a six-speed manual transmission available.
