Kia All-New Cee’d Hatchback – Station Wagon and 3-Door Version is on it’s Way

Ahead of the 82^nd Geneva International Auto Salon which will be held in March, one of the largest South Korean automaker, Kia reveals a set of leaking pictures of the new Kia all-new ore Cee’d hatchback.

As we know that earlier in this week the company had released a single picture of the five-door hatchback. The new pictures provide us with a better view of the vehicle, including the car’s profile and the rear end, and give a shoot on the Cee’d’s interior for the very first time. The new Cee’d, which comes as the 2013 model year, is a competitor for Volkswagen Golf.

In general, the car has an in line overall appearance to the carmaker’s latest crop of models, specifically the Optima sedan. It is seen from what we can find inside. The hatchback boasts a refined interior with featuring more premium look and feel, higher enhanced quality and driving position ergonomics at the cabin. The interior is strongly focused on quality of materials.

Additionally, there is a driver-oriented fascia on the dashboard layout. The main switchgear is positioned towards the driver. At the outside, the new Cee’d features a more mature and upmarket styling. It sports Kia’s new signature grille with chromed surround.

The automaker claimed that the new Cee’d five-door hatchback becomes dimensionally longer, wider and lower than the previous version but the wheelbase remains the same. However, Kia has yet to reveal the dimensions in more detailed.

What will lie under the hood is still unknown but considering that it is a sister model to Hyundai’s new i30, the Cee’d is expected to be powered by the same 1.4-liter and 1.6-liter diesel and gasoline engines when it is launched in Europe. The all-new Cee’d hatchback will have its world premiere at the 2012 Geneva International Motor Show next month and it will go for sale in Europe when the summer begins. After this vehicle, the South Korean automaker will come with a replacement to the three-door Pro Cee’d and the Cee’d Station Wagon.
